Temple B'nai Abraham

a Reconstructionist Synagogue

The Reconstructionist Jewish Congregation in Bordentown, NJ

Religious School

Temple B’nai Abraham’s warm, nurturing one-room schoolhouse aims to create a positive Jewish experience for all our students. We welcome interfaith families and students of all experience levels.

Sunday School

Sunday school, for students in kindergarten through second grade, meets on Sundays from 9:00am to 10:00am. Sunday school introduces students to Hebrew letters, begins teaching basic prayers, and fosters a love of Jewish learning through stories, songs, crafts, and games.

Hebrew School

Hebrew school, for students in third through eighth grade, meets on Thursdays from 4:30pm-6:30pm and Sundays from 10:00am-12:00pm. Hebrew school focuses on active engagement with Jewish tradition through informal, experiential learning. Activities include opening and closing rituals, holiday celebrations, small-group Hebrew instruction, opportunities to read and respond to Jewish texts, and a weekly student-led service. Attendance at some Friday night and Saturday morning services is required.

Students in eighth through twelfth grade are encouraged to continue their involvement through our teen teaching assistant program.

Enrollment in both Sunday school and Hebrew school is limited to the children of members.
